El Star Wars Day de este año ya tiene su primer gran anuncio. Desde la página oficial de Star Wars se confirmó que Taika Waititi será el encargado de dirigir la próxima películas de la franquicia. Además, Waititi co-escribirá el guion junto con Oscar Krysty Wilson-Cairns.

Por su parte, también se reveló que Leslye Headland está trabajando en una nueva serie en el universo, que se sumará a los proyectos ya anunciados de Cassian Andor y Obi-Wan Kenobi mientras esperamos por la segunda temporada de The Mandalorian.
